Crash Ends our Night Early at CNS

September 17th, 2022

After finding a few issues from our last race, we were able to put a proper setup on the car for this race at Colorado National Speedway.

First and foremost thanks to Darren Robertson for all his help setting up the car and helping us out throughout the entire night. We were decent in practice hovering around 8th-10th place.

Qualifying: We qualified 10th out of 16 cars. The car was decent we just didn't quite have the speed we needed to post a better time.

Dash: We started 4th in the dash race and was able to get to 3rd and battled for several laps to try and get 2nd but we weren't able to get by the 2nd place car.

40 Lap Feature: We started 11th in the feature and dropped back early on to 13th. Around lap 15 the car started to come to us and we started working our way back forward getting up to 11th by lap 22. 5 laps later on lap 27 we got by another 2 cars moving us into 9th place. The caution came out on lap 29 for a spin in turn 3. On the restart coming out of turn 2, another car in front us spun out and we tried to go low, however another car was to the inside and we ended up hitting the spun car resulting in front end damage. After the car was towed to the pits, luckily it was determined that most of the damage was only cosmetic.

A huge thanks to my amazing crew including my dad Tim, mom Jen, Adam, Derek, Henry, Gage, Todd & Jack.

Also a big shoutout to all our sponsors for their continued support of our race team: Roller Auctions, Flatirons Chemicals, Weifield Group Contracting, Reaching Health Goals, Winsupply Denver, Buckeye Welding Supply, Benchmark Design Build, VSI Trucks, Metro Brokers Elite, Fire Alarm Services, Pye Barker, American Sprinkler Inc, & Matco Tools.

We will be back racing on Saturday October 1st at Colorado National Speedway for the final Super Late Model race of the season.
